The Oldenglen Chronicles

Book Three: Rogue Wolf

THE OLDENGLEN CHRONICLES

The forgotten forest of Oldenglen, tucked in the foothills of southern Oregon, is forgotten no longer. A rogue wolf pack and its ruthless leader have claimed it as their territory, threatening forever the balance of life in the magical glen.

In this third book in The Oldenglen Chronicles middle-grade fantasy series, schoolboy Jax feels the lure of the pack. The wild wolf within him—born of a nip his father received as a boy, then passed through his genes to Jax—strains to run with the invaders. But loyal to the glen, he and best friend Sarah plead with the woodfolk to fight back and summon the Far Glen wolf pack—whose bloodline owes the glen a debt from long ago—to oust the raiders.

Wolf is pitted against wolf when the Far Glen pack answers the woodfolk’s plea for help. But a far deadlier peril awaits. The rogue pack’s hunting of livestock on farms around the glen has drawn the eye of state and federal wildlife agents. When they surround the glen to cull the rogue wolves, both packs are trapped within its tall stone cliffs. With the lethal cordon drawing tight, Jax and Sarah desperately maneuver to save the wolves they love and keep hidden the secrets of the glen.

Book Two: Lone Wolf

THE OLDENGLEN CHRONICLES

Twelve-year-old Jax is sure his secret is safely hidden within the vast forests of Oldenglen, his new home in the remote mountains of Oregon.

But that is before the school bully provokes the wild beast inside him—the savage streak of wolf the glen’s magic has awoken—and Jax lashes out, risking discovery of his strange condition and the mysteries of the glen. Now the bully and his gang have stormed Oldenglen, looking for answers—and revenge.

As he struggles to master the wolf within, English schoolboy Jax and his best friend, Sarah, join with the four-legged and winged inhabitants of the wildwood to drive the intruders out of the glen.

Nothing is certain in battle, and Jax is propelled along a path into grave danger. Lives hang by a thread as both friend and foe discover the dark woods conceal greater perils than the enemies they know.

Robin Mason

Robin is the younger son of Michael and Muriel. He was born in England and has lived in the same countries as his father. The story behind Oldenglen came from the time the family was renting a large estate in British Columbia, Canada, many years ago.

As a young boy, Robin grew up with the written word. Michael would read to him every night, including such tomes as the Narnia books, the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Oldenglen was the result of that upbringing, and the first book in the series known as The Oldenglen Chronicles. The second book, Lone Wolf, was published on April 1, 2016. Book three, Rogue Wolf, was published on April 25th, 2017. Robin is the sole author of the second and third books. The series will feature five books.

Robin is a practicing attorney. He has been married to his wife, Angelina, for nearly 25 years and they are blessed with three children: Alexandra, Michael (Jr.) and Matthew. The glen dwells deep in Robin; their home is in a twelve-acre forest, which they share with many four-legged and winged inhabitants. For many years, he made maple syrup from their sugar maple trees.
